Nice! But should the article be called “death of the attempted screamer? - how do the two competing forces balance out? Fewer long range shots but each one more likely to score; the numbers are there but I think the real answer to “is the screamer dying?” would be in a plot of the number scored (rather than attempted) over time.

Somehow it does not surprise me that an ex-Brentford manager does not like low xG shots 😅
