If I had to rebuild the model myself, I'd have definitely tested the injuries part. Having said that, it will be correlated with the number of minutes played so I think this is at least partially covered for.
Attitude - this is like Declan Rice's aura that I mention in the piece. Those are the bits one cannot model.
Adaptability - that's a great idea. I think one can easily construct an index of the minutes a player played in different positions. I fear that for the most part players would be single-position so the signal might not be strong .. but worth the try.
Those "—" dashes come from you or AI? ;)
Used to hide them, kind of got to like them by now :)
Sorry for the multiple comments, error posting, error deleting... No idea why
Really clear work, love the visuals too. I feel like there are a couple of other factors worth thinking about, namely:
- Injuries - history, recency, severity, recurrence - "the best ability is availability" after all (though this could correlate to games played)
- Attitude - no idea how you measure this, maybe something dumb like consistency of performance level across games - "he is always running"
- Competition - interest from other clubs, agent hyping... Maybe could be measured with news flow or some other metric from reputable sources
- Adaptability - do they offer more than one position... So you can get more from them
